Story
The Pentagon prepares to nuke Imaginationland to prevent further terrorist attacks. They are holding Stan and Kyle captive until the boys tell them how to get into Imaginationland. Meanwhile, Butters flees to Castle Sunshine, where he learns he is the key to saving everyone from pure evil. Cartman simply won't rest until he finds Kyle and gets him to make good on their bet to suck his balls.
Description
Butters awakens from his dreams to see that he is still in Imaginationland. A variety of evil creatures, including monsters, horror movie murderers, and comic book supervillains burst through the destroyed wall and kill the terrorists who freed them before turning their attention on the good creatures. The Mayor urges everyone to flee to the castle in the Gumdrop Forest, before he himself is impaled by a Xenomorph. Before he dies, he tells Butters to go to Castle Sunshine. Meanwhile, Cartman has a dream concerning his frustration with Kyle not sucking his testicles, per the conditions of a bet between them that Cartman won.
As the evil characters enjoy the spoils of their conquest and argue about their next move, Butters, the Lollipop King and Snarf from ThunderCats flee through the forest, while observing, from a safe distance, the evil characters torturing and mutilating Strawberry Shortcake. As they discuss her fate, the Woodland Christmas Critters from Cartman's Christmas story appear, suggesting ways to make her torment even worse. They propose forcing her to eat her gouged-out eye, and then giving her AIDS by having someone infected with the disease urinate in her eye socket, before raping and killing her. Not knowing of anyone so infected among their number, they set off to find someone with AIDS in the forest, much to the stunned surprise of the other evil characters who are horrified by how truly evil the Critters are.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Stan are interrogated at The Pentagon. They are told of a portal into Imaginationland that had been built during the Cold War and is controlled by the government, which resembles the titular portal from the 1994 film Stargate. It is discovered that the portal powers up when the boys correctly sing the "Imagination" song that the Mayor sang in the previous episode. The Pentagon decides to send into Imaginationland a group of soldiers, including an incredulous Kurt Russell, because as it is explained to him, his appearance in the film Stargate gives him more experience than anyone else there. Before the troop is sent, Cartman breaks into the Pentagon in order for Kyle to suck his testicles, as per their bet, and much to the incredulous Kyle's horror, the Pentagon general allows the two boys to use their conference room.
After Russell and his troop cross the portal, they encounter the Woodland Critters, who gang rape and kill the soldiers. This leads to an emergency alert status that interrupts Kyle and Cartman before they can carry out the terms of the bet, much to Cartman's outrage.
In the portal room, ManBearPig breaks through the portal into the Pentagon. He kills two workers and grabs Kyle by the neck. A Pentagon employee manages to reverse the portal, sending ManBearPig back into it, but it sucks Stan through as well, and its energies electrocute Kyle, leaving him dead on the portal room floor. Cartman, horrified and furious at being denied Kyle's debt obligation, performs CPR and revives him.
In Imaginationland, Butters, the Lollipop King, and Snarf arrive at Castle Sunshine which resembles Rivendell from The Lord of the Rings. They are then brought before the Council of Nine, consisting of the fictional characters Aslan, Gandalf, Glinda, Luke Skywalker, Morpheus, Popeye, Wonder Woman, and Zeus. The council determine that Butters is "the key" to taking back Imaginationland from the evil characters. Butters is displeased to have this mantle thrust upon him, but the Council tells him that he must help them if he ever wants to go home again.
Back in the Pentagon, the general, seeing that their imaginations have run wild, orders for a nuclear missile to be launched through the portal. At the hospital, Kyle awakens from his coma to find a Cartman at his bedside, pleased that Kyle is now free to make good on their bet.
